I'm Sheri Johnson Lopez (aka Smiley)

I’m a sole parent/single mom to a 8 year-old boy named Zaydon. We moved back to Azle 6 years ago (May 2015) to start over and to be close to family. I grew up and graduated from Azle, but left Texas after studying art at Texas Wesleyan University for a job in Kansas City. Throughout the years, I would be commissioned to paint murals and other artwork on the side while working in other types of careers. It wasn’t until I moved back to Texas with my son that I felt led by the Lord to take a leap of faith and go full time into art and express my God-given talent among many. Since moving back to Texas, my portfolio has grown to include clients such as; Al Boenker Insurance, Amazon, Azle Fire Department, Chevron, Briar-Reno Fire Department, Presidium Group, Azle ISD, Terrell ISD, Blackwood Developments, Eitches Management Group, Chills 360, Joe’s Crab Shack (Laundry’s Inc.), First Watch Café, Unicorn Magical Dessert Bar and many more. When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy spending time with my son and my family. I also love to take my son on “park adventures” where we pick out new parks to explore…playing on the playgrounds, riding a bike, and packing a lunch for a picnic. In the future, my goals consist of having our own home, continuing to grow my business, continuing to serve our community (while also teaching my son too), finishing my canvas painting series on “Empowering Women”, and speaking and motivating many (especially women) on how their life trials don’t define who they are in Christ.
